Bassem M. Mokhtar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of the Electrical Engineering in Faculty of Engineering, University of Alexandria, Egypt. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. In 2014, He received Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, USA. His research interests include autonomic resilient network, data managements, semantics reasoning, network intelligence, software-defined networking, semantic-driven networking operations, information management, knowledge-based network management and system modeling. His teaching interests include a large set of courses related to Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a valued IEEE member since 2006. Additionally, He has been involved as a reviewer for various conference papers and journals including IEEE Transactions on Computers and Smart Grids, Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA) and IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine. He is a researcher at and founder of the computer networks group at Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt. Furthermore, he is researcher at and co-founder of the Center of Smart Nanotechnology and Photonics (CSNP), at the Smart CI Research Center of Excellence, Alexandria University, Egypt.
