EE 483 DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING

Prerequisite: Please review EE 381, Signals and Systems
Textbook: John Proakis and Dimitris Manolakis, Digital Signal Processing, Principles, Algorithms and Applications, 4'th edition

Course Content:

  1. Review of discrete signals and systems
  2. Correlation of discrete time signals (section 2.6)
  3. Sampling and reconstruction of signals (chapter 6). The plan is to cover 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4.1, and 6.6
  4. Review and complete of the Discrete Fourier Transform and its properties (chapter 7). The plan is to review 7.2 and cover the circular convolution and correlation, then cover 7.3
  5. Fast Fourier Transform, radix-2, (chapter 8, section 8.1.3)
  6. Implementation of discrete time systems (chapter 9, sections 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3). Not all material in sections will be covered.
  7. Design of digital filters (chapter 10, sections 10.2 and 10.3) . Not all material in sections will be covered.
